Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler is a simple, comfortable way to ease sinus symptoms.  Many people find that inhaling steam reduces congestion.  This quick and easy treatment opens breathing passages and sooths the nose and throat.  In addition to relieving sinus problems, many people find it helpful for laryngitis.  The soft, plastic hood is reasonably comfortable, certainly far more comfortable than other competing steam inhalers.  The water also heats up more rapidly than it does in other steam inhalers.  While a few people complain that the Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler does not produce enough steam, most find the steam production more than adequate and do not even use the highest levels.  Using the lower levels also helps keep the steam from feeling too hot on your face.  Some people find it more comfortable to keep their heads a few inches above the mask to reduce the heat on their face.  Many people find the fact that it is small, lightweight, and portable extremely valuable.  Recommended.

"I enthusiastically recommend the steam inhaler for its usefulness, simplicity and portability.  It's useful in patients with chronic sinus conditions, as well as laryngitis."  Anthony F. Jahn, M.D. Director of Otolaryngology, Miller Institute for Performing Arts Medicine St. Luke's - Roosevelt Medical Center, New York, NY.
"I have found the steam inhaler to be of great benefit in the management of multitude of upper and lower respiratory ailments."  Jeffrey P. Robbins, M.D., Ear, Nose and Throat Center, Bristol, TN.
