The Amaircare Vehicle Air Cleaner is a great choice for someone who is particularly concerned about smog, chemicals and odors in their car. It has been designed specifically to capture those irritants and it is the best we have found for that purpose. It is also very nicely designed and engineered to fit into a vehicle without taking up any passenger space. It straps snugly right behind either the driver or passenger seat. Its power is plenty adequate for cleaning a vehicle, even a larger SUV or van. Allergy sufferers should be aware that it is NOT a HEPA air purifier. While it will remove some dust and pollens from the air, it will not do it as effectively as a HEPA air purifier such as the Amaircare Roomaid. If, however, the primary objective is the removal of smog, chemicals and odors, the Amaircare Vehicle Air Cleaner does that better than the Roomaid (though the Roomaid does it very well with the optional VOC filter) Also, the Vehicle Air Cleaner is smaller than the Roomaid and does not take up any floor or seat space as the Roomaid does. Both are great products - the choice depends upon which is more important, HEPA filtration for allergen removal or space conservation.
